3rd annual CAEP EM Resident Leadership and
CAEP EM Teacher of the Year awards

On behalf of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP), it is with great pleasure that I announce the call for nominations for 2 national awards in emergency medicine (EM). Created by CAEP's Residents' Section in 1999 to recognize both current and future leaders in EM, they were presented for the first time at CAEP's Residents' Section Workshop in Calgary, March 2001. We offer these awards again this year. Recipients will be recognized at CAEP's Residents' Section Workshop in Winnipeg, June 2003.

Do you have an outstanding EM teacher in your midst? Or a resident who has made a phenomenal contribution to EM in Canada? Let the country know! These awards were designed to be chosen by Canadian EM residents and staff who have an interest in the future of EM -- You!

Award recipients will be flown to Winnipeg and presented with their award at a dinner hosted by CAEP's Residents' Section. Winners will also be recognized in CJEM.

Spread the word! These are prestigious national awards for EM physicians, and I hope someone from your program will be among those honoured.
