The CAEP Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Connie Le Blanc, MD, FCFP(EM), as Chair of CAEP CME. Connie has a wealth of experience in both clinical and academic emergency medicine. In addition to 15 years in clinical practice, since 1997 Connie has served as Program Director of the CCFP(EM) Residency Program, at Dalhousie University, Department of Emergency Medicine. Connie brings her expertise, an abundance of energy and her great sense of humour to her new role at CAEP.

Dr. Tim Allen has been Chair of the CAEP CME Committee since 1996, serving on the CAEP Board of Directors during this time. His list of accomplishments both at CAEP and in the field of emergency medicine is extensive. The combination of Tim's commitment to emergency medicine and his passion for high quality CME has resulted in the development of several ground-breaking high quality national educational workshops (Roadshows), including the AMI Roadshow, which Tim co-developed and presented. Under Tim's chairmanship, 7 Roadshows have been developed and over 200 Roadshows have been presented, reaching almost 5000 physicians.

Tim will still remain active with CAEP by facilitating the development of a new Pediatric Roadshow, Kids CAEP -ERs (see page 295), and he will continue as one of our Associate Editors at CJEM, responsible for the section on Education. We wish Tim much success in his future endeavours and hope he will now find a bit more time to enjoy his three young grandchildren.
